SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A funeral service for a South Salt Lake City Police Department officer killed in the line of duty is scheduled for Wednesday at the Maverik Center in West Valley City.
Officer David Romrell was fatally injured Saturday when struck by a car driven by a burglary suspect who subsequently was fatally shot by other officers. A man who was a passenger in the vehicle has been arrested in the case.
The funeral service scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday will be preceded by a public viewing from 9-10:30 a.m.
