SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart says she's pregnant with her third child.

Smart made the announcement in an Instagram post Monday with a picture of an ultrasound and the words: "Pretty HUGE news!!! We're expecting baby #3 in November!!!!"

Smart was kidnapped from her Salt Lake City bedroom by street preacher Brian David Mitchell in 2002 at age 14 and held captive for nine months before she was found. Mitchell was convicted of kidnapping and raping Smart and sentenced to life in prison.

The 30-year-old Smart is now a child safety activist who regularly gives speeches on the topic. She also wrote a book and helped make a Lifetime movie and documentary about the crime and her life.
