WEBER COUNTY, Utah (AP) — A 19-year-old man in Utah is dead after he was thrown from a UTV that rolled onto him. Authorities from the Weber County Sheriff's Office say the man was driving a UTV with his 18-year-old brother on Saturday night in a private community area called Sunridge north of the Pineview Reservoir.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah couple is visiting each of the 11 remaining giant, concrete arrows left in the state that once helped guide pilots delivering mail across the country. KSL-TV reports the government built hundreds of the arrows in the 1920s. They were laid down nationwide to provide nighttime guidance. Each arrow had a 50-foot tower built in the middle of the arrow with a spotlight shining on it so pilots could clearly see it from the air.
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — Police in a Salt Lake City suburb say a father has been arrested after his 2-year-old boy shot himself. West Valley City police said on Twitter Sunday morning that officers were dispatched around midnight, and the boy was in extremely critical condition and not expected to survive.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A Utah man who traveled to Venezuela to meet a woman he met online but found himself jailed for two years while branded a CIA spy has returned home to the United States. Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Holt and his wife arrived Saturday evening for a tearful reunion with his parents. They were later welcomed to the White House by President Donald Trump. The release came one day after Sen. Bob Corker held a surprise meeting with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in Caracas.
