MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) — Lake Michigan tour boats will return to Michigan City in northern Indiana for the first time since 1949, beginning June 2.

The (Northwest Indiana) Times reports New Buffalo, Michigan-based Harbor Country Adventures will offer sightseeing tours along the lake in a 67-foot-long (20.5-meter-long), double-decker tour boat or in a speedboat.

Owner Victor Tieri said he plans to offer 90-minute tour boat cruises past the Indiana Dunes seven days a week through Labor Day. The tour boat, which seats up to 150 people, will offer four cruises per day and cost $30 for adults and $16 for children.

A 40-minute tour in a speedboat seating 12 people will cost adults $30 and children $22.

The operation will be based at Millennium Plaza south of Washington Park on the Michigan City lakefront.
