TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) — Authorities in Taylorsville say a man has been shot and wounded while visiting a gravesite.

Unified Police say the 18-year-old victim remains hospitalized Sunday in serious but stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound above the waist.

The name of the victim hasn't been released, but police say the shooting may be gang related.

Two friends who were with the victim drove him to a hospital Saturday afternoon.

The three were visiting the grave of an unidentified friend who died in recent weeks.

Police tell the Dereset News that detectives believe someone fired from a vehicle as it drove through Taylorsville Memorial Park Cemetery about 1:30 p.m.

They say officers are seeking to identify a suspect and are talking to the victim and his two friends to get more information.
