KETCHUM, Idaho (AP) — Central Idaho officials have tentatively agreed to settle a wrongful-termination, whistleblower lawsuit.
Blaine County Commissioner Larry Schoen tells the Idaho Mountain Express in a story on Friday that the county reached an agreement with Landon Neet of Hailey.
Neet in a lawsuit filed in November says he was placed on administrative leave in June and then fired in September from his job as chief deputy coroner after telling government officials that Blaine County Coroner Russell Mikel was using him for work at his private business at taxpayers' expense.
Schoen says the proposed agreement will be brought to the county commission during an executive session on Tuesday.
Terms of the agreement have not been made public.
Neet's attorney, Ben Worst, says differences have been resolved.
