BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is seeking an artist-in-residence to spend a week at the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area in southwestern Idaho.
The agency says photographers, painters, sculptors, videographers, writers, poets, musicians and composers will be considered for the one-week program in late May.
The residency is open to professional artists 18 and older who are U.S. citizens. Applications are being accepted until March 1.
The selected artist will visit the scenic area with BLM staff.
Works produced by the artist will be showcased to the public and included in future BLM exhibits and publications.
The Birds of Prey National Conservation Area contains rugged cliffs and has one of the largest concentrations of nesting raptors in North America.
