GENEVA (AP) — Swiss police say an 83-year-old man apparently shot and killed his wife in her hospital bed near Zurich, then killed himself.
Zurich canton (state) police said staff at the hospital in Affoltern am Albis heard shots from the room of the patient, also aged 83, shortly after midnight on Wednesday. They found her lying in her bed and her husband lying on the floor, both with gunshot wounds.
Police say that they are working with prosecutors and forensic experts to determine what the motive was.
