NEW YORK, Aug 24, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Newly packaged fashionable pepper spray is being boosted as a more chic way for U.S. women to defend themselves against possible assault.
The lipstick-size cylinders, created by Pepperface.com, pack three half-second bursts of a hot-pepper derivative, the New York Post says. It can cause vision impairment, choking and a burning sensation for up to 45 minutes.
The spray comes in bright colors ($35) and with personalized Swarovski crystals (starting at $95).
