"Matilda The Musical" is coming to the Eccles Theater Feb. 21-26.
Actress Darcy Stewart, cast in the local production as Matilda's mother, was drawn to the musical because of its fantastical story that she believes empowers children to take control of their lives.
“I think it’s always been important to show kids, especially that age — that breaking age — what’s important and how to fight against things you don’t believe in in society,” Stewart told the Deseret News. “You need to always believe in yourself from a very young age.”
