CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming's three electoral votes have formally been cast for Republican Donald Trump. In a ceremony Monday at the Wyoming Secretary of State's Office, the electors cast their votes while Gov. Matt Mead and others watched.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration has finalized rules designed to reduce the environmental impact of coal mining on the nation's streams. The long-anticipated move met quick resistance from Republicans who vowed to overturn it under President-elect Donald Trump. The Interior Department said the rule will protect 6,000 miles of streams and 52,000 acres of forests, preventing debris from coal mining from being dumped into nearby waters.

RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a charter bus carrying University of Wyoming marching band members to the Poinsettia Bowl was involved in a crash on an icy stretch of Interstate 80 near Rawlins. However, the patrol says no students were hurt thanks to the bus driver not losing complete control of the bus during the accident.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The number of Wyoming residents who died by suicide in 2016 has been about the same as numbers in previous years, which suicide prevention advocates say suggests awareness campaigns and prevention methods are working. The Casper Star-Tribune reports that according to the state Department of Health, 131 people have died by suicide in Wyoming through mid-December of this year.
