BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A former Boise police officer and his wife are facing felony grand theft charges.
KIVI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2gzTTk1 ) that Mark Furniss and his wife, Sara Furniss, were charged Friday following an internal investigation.
The Treasure Valley Lodge #11 Fraternal Order of Police released a statement on Saturday saying during the time that Mark Furniss was president and his wife was the office manager --tens of thousands of dollars went missing.
The nonprofit lodge raises money to assist fallen officers and their families.
The Furnisses are scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.
