SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Potentially hazardous winter weather is in the cards for much of Utah starting this weekend and continuing into the coming week.
The National Weather Service says mild conditions Saturday will be followed by the first of a series of storm systems.
The first storm system is expected to produce snow showers in the mountains and scattered rain or mixed rain and snow showers late Saturday and early Sunday.
Forecasters say showers will increase again late Sunday with the arrival of a second storm expected to produce minor snow accumulations on valley floors.
A third storm system with even colder temperatures is expected Monday and Tuesday, producing heavy snow in some areas.
