SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A new website lets Utah residents weigh in on how the aging state prison in Draper should be redeveloped.
The website, pointofthemountainfuture.org, launched Tuesday. It's part of a massive planning effort looking at developing the 700-acres where the soon-to-be-relocated prison sits and the infrastructure needs of thousands of surrounding acres.
Planning firm Envision Utah is helping state officials map out the area's needs and collect input from stakeholders. Envision Utah says public ideas are part of the process.
The firm hopes to release a final report on the massive planning project next winter.
