MALAD CITY, Idaho (AP) — A man wanted on a felony warrant for allegedly escaping from a Colorado prison program was arrested in Southern Idaho on charges that he assaulted his spouse and the deputies who tried to arrest him. The Idaho State Journal reports that police say Stephen Crouse faces a slew of charges and extradition to Colorado after he tried to strangle his wife and head-butted deputies on Friday.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho State Police trooper has been injured in a crash while escorting the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree. Trooper Brandalyn Crapo was injured in the Highway 55 crash Sunday afternoon.

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Police in southwest Idaho will start carrying a drug used to reverse overdoses caused by heroin and other opioid drugs. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that the Nampa Police Department intends to have most officers trained by Dec. 3 on how to use Narcan. Narcan can be used by officers for emergency treatment on people suffering from a potential overdose of heroin.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A frequently vandalized "Black Lives Matter" sign has been stolen from an eastern Idaho church. Unitarian Universalist Church Rev. Lyn Stangland Cameron told the Post Register newspaper that the sign was stolen on Monday or Tuesday. The sign has been vandalized four times since the Idaho Falls church put it up in February.
