CHUNKY, Miss. (AP) — A funeral is set for a mother and her two young daughters killed in a Halloween night crash in the small Mississippi town of Chunky.

Newton County Funeral Home says services will be held at noon Saturday for 33-year-old Kristina Shaver, 8-year-old Baylee Shaver and 2-year-old Brooke Shaver.

They were killed when a pickup truck slammed into a small utility trailer carrying them and seven others as children trick-or-treated Monday. The crash happened on a dark stretch of two-lane U.S. Highway 80.

The crash remains under investigation.

Among those still hospitalized is the middle child in the Shaver family, 7-year-old McKensey. A spokesman at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson says she was in fair condition Friday.

The husband and father in the family, Kerry Douglas Shaver Jr., died in July.
