WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Clinton will campaign in Detroit on Friday. Michigan is normally-reliable for Democrats. Clinton will visit Detroit in an apparent effort to boost support among black voters. Campaigning Thursday night in North Carolina, Clinton said a Trump victory risks "normalizing discrimination."

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Donald Trump continues to hammer away at what he claims is corruption on the part of rival Hillary Clinton. Campaigning in must-win Florida, Trump said a cloud of investigation would follow Hillary Clinton into the White House.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Friday is a significant day in environmental history. The Paris Agreement to combat climate change becomes international law. The accord demonstrates that many countries are serious about tackling global warming amid growing fears that the world is becoming hotter faster than scientists expected. So far, 96 countries largely responsible for greenhouse gas emissions have joined the accord.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tesla Motors says it's unlikely that its semi-autonomous Autopilot system was engaged when a Model S crashed in Indianapolis on a street where the speed limit was 35 mph. A driver and a passenger were killed. In a statement issued late Thursday, the electric car maker said it's cooperating with Indianapolis police, who are investigating the Thursday crash. The car was so badly damaged that it didn't transmit data.

BEIJING (AP) — China says its plans for a permanent space station remain on track with the successful launch of its new heavy-lift Long March 5 rocket. The rocket blasted off Thursday night from a launch center on the southern island of Hainan (hy-nahn). China launched a space station precursor facility in September and sent up two astronauts in the middle of last month to live aboard it for 30 days.
