CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — An inmate who escaped from the Canyon County jail sometime Tuesday morning has been taken into custody.
Authorities captured 27-year-old Brandon Luna of Nampa on Tuesday afternoon in an area near the jail.
Luna is being held for multiple drug charges and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.
In the past 18 months, there have been five escapes from the facility involving six inmates.
County commissioners have repeatedly denied Sheriff Kieran Donahue's request for more money to increase security at the jail.
