OROFINO, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho man has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of his infant daughter.

The Lewiston Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/2ehrm0S) that 26-year-old Daniel R. Alldrin of Orofino was taken into custody Monday.

Authorities say Alldrin's 28-day-old daughter died May 15.

Clearwater County Sheriff Chris Goetz says the child died of internal injuries. He says a lengthy investigation involved phone records, Facebook records and texting messages.

Alldrin has been appointed a public defender and is being held on $150,000 bond.
