WASHINGTON (AP) — The soap opera actress in the video that has rocked the presidential campaign says Donald Trump's comments were offensive. But Arianne Zucker tells NBC's "Today" show she wasn't shocked by it, given "that type of personality." Zucker is the actress who is seen meeting Trump and TV personality Billy Bush in the 2005 video. In it, Trump boasts of using his fame to kiss and grab women.

STOCKHOLM (AP) — Bob Dylan has been named this year's recipient of the Nobel Prize in literature. The Swedish Academy cited the singer-songwriter for "having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition." British Indian novelist Salman Rushdie hailed the decision as a "great choice." But Scottish novelist Irvine Welsh is calling it an "ill-conceived nostalgia award."

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran says it will deploy two warships off Yemen. Tehran made the announcement just hours after a U.S. missile strike targeting Yemen's Houthi rebels, who are supported by Iran. The American strikes hit three radar facilities belonging to the Houthis following two incidents this week in which missiles were fired at U.S. Navy ships.

HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) — Hurricane Nicole is approaching Bermuda as an extremely dangerous Category 3 hurricane. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Nicole is expected to pass just a couple of miles east of Bermuda late this morning. Power outages were reported as at least one transformer exploded.

BANGKOK (AP) — The prime minister of Thailand has declared a one-year mourning period for the government following the death of King Bhumibol (POO'-mee-pahn). The world's longest-reigning monarch has died at age 88 after ruling for seven decades.
