NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks are slipping in early trading on Wall Street. Yahoo fell 2 percent after the company said the data of 500 million users was stolen by a foreign agent. Facebook shares also fell 2 percent after The Wall Street Journal reported that Facebook was overstating the length of how long its users were watching its video ads, raising concerns that a portion of Facebook's ad revenue may be at risk.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — A computer hacker who provided names of more than 1,000 U.S. government and military workers to the Islamic State group has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. The 20-year-old Kosovo native (Ardit Ferizi) was sentenced today in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia. Earlier this year, he became the first person convicted in the U.S. of both computer hacking and terrorism charges. He hacked a private company and pulled out the names, email passwords and phone numbers of more than 1,300 people with .gov and .mil addresses.

BERLIN (AP) — German security officials say a cyberattack believed to be directed by Russia has targeted journalists and lawmakers in recent weeks. The domestic intelligence agency BfV says the German Parliament, at least two political parties and an unidentified media company were targeted in a sophisticated email phishing attempt between Aug. 15 and Sept. 15.

NEW DELHI (AP) — An Indian airline says a Samsung Note 2 phone emitted smoke and sparks on a flight from Singapore to the southern Indian city of Chennai. IndiGo says the phone was found today in the bag of a passenger in an overhead bin after other passengers reported smelling smoke in the plane. The airline says the crew used a fire extinguisher and placed the phone in a container filled with water. Samsung has recalled 2.5 million newer Note 7 phones after dozens of reports of battery fires.

MARBLEHEAD, Mass. (AP) — One of the world's largest package delivery companies is stepping up efforts to integrate drones into its system. UPS has partnered with robot-maker CyPhy Works to test the use of drones to make commercial deliveries to remote or difficult-to-access locations. The companies began testing the drones yesterday, launching one from the Massachusetts seaside town of Marblehead. The drone successfully flew on a programmed route for 3 miles over the Atlantic Ocean to deliver an inhaler at Children's Island.
