ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Officials say 22 people have been killed and 94 wounded in a bomb attack at wedding party in southeastern Turkey. The governor of Gaziantep Province is calling it a terror attack. The blast occurred in a city, near the border with Syria. Another official says authorities believe it was most likely a suicide bombing. Turkey has been hit this year by a wave of attacks that have either been claimed by Kurdish rebels or blamed on the Islamic State group.

HARLAN, Ky. (AP) — Police say they have found two more improvised explosive devices in the woods of Harlan County, Kentucky, a week after the man accused of placing the explosives was killed while helping police search for other IEDs. Investigators say Mark Sawaf was shot and killed during an altercation when he tried to escape. He was charged in June following a federal probe into the explosion of a trail camera which seriously injured a man.

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (AP) —Three men are dead and another injured after a boat overturned on the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania. Officials in Clarion County say the 21-foot boat apparently ran up on the riverbank early today and overturned. Officials say three men were found dead in the boat. A man in his 70s was found pinned underneath the boat. He was reported to be conscious and alert when he was taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh.

ST. AMANT, La. (AP) — A central Louisiana woman and her daughter are being recognized as heroes for rescuing a 4-year-old boy whose grandmother died in floods last week. The Rapides (rap-EEDZ) Parish sheriff says the child would have died without Jennie Thacker and Jessie Kingan. Sheriff William Earl Hilton gave them the office's first Citizens Valor Award on Friday. Thacker says they saw a little boy clinging to a tree branch. She says she swam out to him.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The youngest giant panda cub at the National Zoo in Washington is celebrating his first birthday with a traditional Chinese ceremony and the sweet taste of honey. The zoo held Bei Bei's first birthday party today. He was born Aug. 22, 2015. The ceremony involved placing symbolic objects in front of a baby. The cub also enjoyed his first taste of honey. The pandas were also given cakes made of frozen diluted juice.
