OYSTER BAY, N.Y. (AP) — Nassau County police say five children were hurt when two school buses crashed on the Long Island Expressway.
Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/2aQZLTh ) the wreck occurred Thursday around 5 p.m. in Oyster Bay and the young passengers were being evaluated by medical personnel. Police say their injuries appear to be minor.
It's unclear what caused the crash. Police didn't say how many students were on board each bus.
