VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office is honoring nine deputy recruits who have completed basic training.
The sheriff's office says in a statement that it will host its basic training graduation ceremony Thursday. The sheriff's office says the recruits have completed 16 weeks of training and met the requirements for graduation.
The commencement speaker will be Virginia Beach City Manager Dave Hansen.
The sheriff's office says this is its 38th graduation ceremony.
