DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Dubai's media office says emergency teams have been activated to respond to a crash landing at the main Dubai International Airport, and that all its passengers and crew have been safely evacuated. Dubai-based Emirates said the incident happened as Flight EK521, a Boeing 777, was arriving from southern India.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (AP) — Donald Trump has ignited new tensions within the Republican Party by refusing to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan or Arizona Sen. John McCain. Meanwhile, retiring New York Rep. Richard Hanna became the first Republican member of Congress to say he will vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton in November, calling Trump "unfit to serve."

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — A Republican primary in Kansas has resulted in a tea party incumbent being unseated. Rep. Tim Huelskamp blames his loss on $3 million of super PAC money that went to support his opponent, obstetrician Roger Marshall. Huelskamp is one of only a handful of House members to be ousted in this year's primary season.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — In a big victory for Pacific Gas & Electric Co., a federal judge has cut nearly all of a potential $562 million fine against the giant utility. PG&E is accused in a criminal case of violating safety regulations before a deadly natural gas pipeline explosion in California and then obstructing investigators. PG&E now faces a maximum fine of $6 million if convicted.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A medium-range ballistic missile was fired today by North Korea. Japanese and South Korean officials say the missile flew about 600 and landed near Japan's territorial waters. The U.S. Strategic Command says North Korea fired two missiles and that one apparently exploded right after launch.
