ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a 20-year-old Nevada man has gone missing while hiking in the state's Ruby Mountains.
The Elko Daily Free Press reports (http://bit.ly/2afTyD5 ) that Elko Undersheriff Ron Supp says Jacob Beetler of Spring Creek went on a hike Wednesday and was reported missing the next day.
Supp says Beetler is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and has light brown hair and hazel eyes. He may have been heading for Ruby Dome.
Supp says helicopters and aircraft have been used to look for the young man and more than 60 people at a time have searched the mountain.
The undersheriff said Monday that authorities are hoping to use the state's horse and dog teams as well as additional aircraft.
