Two children have died in hot cars in the past week, drawing attention to the hazards of leaving a child in the car, particularly in the heat of the summer.

"Three times as many children have died this year over last year after being left inside cars that overheat, the National Safety Council reported in early June," according to KidsAndCars.org.
