WARSAW, Poland (AP) — The White House says President Barack Obama will be visiting Dallas, where five police officers were killed by a sniper. The president is currently in Warsaw, Poland, for a NATO summit. After traveling to Spain, Obama will cut his European trip short to return home.

UNDATED (AP) — There were protests around the country following this week's police shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota. About 1,000 people chanted "black lives matter" and "hands up, don't shoot" as they marched in Phoenix, Arizona. In San Francisco, about 2,000 protesters marched across downtown to a rally outside City Hall.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown of Florida and her chief of staff pleaded not guilty Friday to multiple fraud charges and other federal offenses. Brown, a Democrat, was charged in a grand jury indictment after an investigation into what prosecutors call a phony charity turned into a personal slush fund.

OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) — Former Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard was sentenced Friday to four years in prison and another eight on probation for breaking the state ethics law. A jury found that Hubbard, a Republican, improperly solicited lobbyists and company executives for work and used the power of his office to help his business clients.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — One jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Friday night's Mega Millions drawing. A Virginia Lottery spokesman says the winning ticket was purchased in Indiana. A ticket matching all five white balls and the yellow ball was expected to win $540 million.
