RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting that left one person dead on the south side of town.
Reno police and the regional gang unit responded to a report of a shooting on Yori Avenue at about 8 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses say the gunfire erupted during a fight between two groups of people. Officers located one victim of a gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said Monday the initial evidence indicates the killing was gang-related but an investigation is continuing.
