WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Riders had to be removed from a roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Virginia after getting stuck.
Local news outlets report the incident happened Wednesday afternoon when the Alpengeist roller coaster stopped on the lift hill with riders onboard.
Busch Gardens officials say in a statement that no riders were hurt during the shutdown. Officials say the park's maintenance team identified the issue and reset the ride, which was later reopened.
