California wildfire destroys 200 buildings...3 dead in fiery LA crash...'Finding Dory' still No. 1

LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. (AP) — Officials now say a deadly wildfire burning in central California has destroyed 200 homes and other buildings. But the Kern County Fire Department says crews are making progress in establishing a perimeter around the 58-square-mile blaze. Officials say most of the flames are now within that perimeter. The fire has claimed at least two lives.

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Three people are dead and five others injured after a fiery collision last night in the Los Angeles community of Woodland Hills. Authorities say four vehicles were involved the in crash and one of them caught on fire, trapping two people inside. Bystanders used fire extinguishers and buckets of water to hold back the flames until firefighters arrived.

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Utah officials say a 4-year-old boy has died and a 28-year-old woman is in critical condition after being trapped in a house fire that likely started after the child was playing with a butane torch. The Ogden fire department says firefighters pulled the two from the home but the boy later died at a hospital. The woman suffered severe burns.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing have paid a visit to some of the people injured in the Orlando nightclub shooting. The Orlando Regional Medical Center says 10 bombing survivors and their service dogs visited yesterday. Celeste Corcoran, a double amputee after the 2013 bombing, met with Pulse survivor Angel Colon and said it helps to talk with "someone who has been through similar situations." The hospital says eight Pulse patients remain at the hospital. Five are stable and three are in critical condition.

NEW YORK (AP) — "Finding Dory" is the top movie for a second week, raking in an estimated $73.2 million. "Independence Day: Resurgence" is a distant No. 2 with a $41.6 million opening. The Blake Lively shark thriller "The Shallows" rode a wave of good reviews to a better-than-expected $16.7 million debut.
