TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in south-central Idaho say a 22-year-old man has likely drowned after slipping on some rocks and falling into the Snake River.
The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office says two men fell into the river Wednesday evening near Pillar Falls and only one made it out.
Rescuers reached the area but swift water prevented an attempt to reach the area where the man's body is believed to have ended up.
The Bureau of Reclamation has reduced the river's flow at Milner Dam to help officials find the body.
Officials say the search will resume Thursday afternoon.
The man's name hasn't been released.
