BALTIMORE (AP) — Authorities say three people were wounded in a shooting in East Baltimore, including a pregnant woman who was shot in the abdomen.
Police said in a statement that an officer heard shots early Monday and found the 21-year-old woman, who was 8-months pregnant, and a 30-year-old man wounded on the ground. The woman was taken to a hospital where police say her baby was removed. Both mother and baby are in critical but stable condition.
Police say the 30-year-old man, who is also in critical but stable condition, had 17 vials of suspected cocaine and charges are pending.
Police say a third shooting victim, a 25-year-old man, was found a short time later with gunshot wounds to the arm. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
