TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Aug 4, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Wives whose husbands spend Sundays obsessing over football have a game of their own after a Florida woman launched FantasyHusband.com.
The new Web site from Tallahassee accountant Kim Cramer follows the trend of fantasy football enterprises by allowing "sport widow" contestants to choose from 20 fantasy husbands placed in domestic scenarios and graded by participating counselors for their responses, the Tallahassee (Fla.) Democrat said.
"I just thought the whole concept was a good idea," said Cramer. "It's geared toward women, and there's not really any other Internet fantasy games out there for women."
Participants are allowed to choose three of the fabricated husbands as their team for the season and then attempt to accumulate the most points for their team's responses to situations such as a visit by their mother-in-law.
To date, the Web site has attracted 50 competitors from worldwide locations such as Ireland and Nigeria, the newspaper said.
