BRUSSELS (AP) — Authorities in Belgium combed through homes and car ports today, mostly in and around brussels in an anti-terrorist action they say couldn't wait. Officials say the "immediate intervention" produced a dozen arrests out of about 40 people brought in for questioning. The federal prosecutor's office says the operation involved 16 municipalities. Belgium is still under the second highest terror alert .

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A senior aide says presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is writing his own campaign playbook as he works to address a battleground state staffing shortage that highlights his reliance on a skeptical GOP establishment. Trump has slowly begun to add paid staff in a handful of swing states but still resists traditional Republican campaign practices such as constructing a massive national operation.

BIRSTALL, England (AP) — The suspect in the slaying of a popular British lawmaker has a court date today. British police have charged Thomas Mair with murder and other offenses in the slaying of Labour Party lawmaker, Jo Cox. Evidence has emerged that the reclusive, 52-year-old gardener had decades-old ties to a neo-Nazi movement and an interest in anarchist weapons literature.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada taxi companies are fighting back against allegations of massive overcharging of customers. An analysis, completed on behalf of the Livery Operators Association contends that potential overcharges were about $3 million a year. A scathing state audit of the Nevada Taxicab Authority that was released in January claims the industry was overcharging to the tune of more than $47 million a year.

MOSCOW (AP) — An American, a Briton and a Russian are expected home from the International Space Station today. Their Soyuz space capsule has undocked for the return trip to Earth. NASA's Tim Kopra, Tim Peake of the European Space Agency and the Russian agency Roscosmos' Yuri Malenchenko spent 186 days in space since their launch in December 2015.
