WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are heading to Orlando, Florida today to offer solace to a community that less than a week ago lost 49 people at a mass shooting at a gay nightclub. Obama and Biden will meet privately with the families of some of the victims, and the White House says Obama will also speak publicly "to make clear that the country stands with the people of Orlando, stands with the LGBT community in Orlando, as they grieve for their loss."

WASHINGTON (AP) — CIA Director John Brennan will update lawmakers on Capitol Hill today on the Islamic State group. In remarks prepared for the Senate Intelligence Committee, Brennan says IS militants are training and trying to deploy operatives for further attacks on the West and will rely more on guerrilla-style tactics to compensate for their territorial losses.

PARIS (AP) — Hundreds of people marched silently through a Paris suburb today to honor two police officials killed by an extremist claiming loyalty to Islamic State. The crowd marched from the town where victim Jessica Schneider worked as a police administrator, to the town where she and police commander Jean-Baptiste Salvaing were stabbed at their home Monday night. Their 3-year-old son was spared. The attacker was killed in a police raid.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he's still not ready to endorse Donald Trump as the Republican Party presidential nominee. Kasich tells MSNBC's "Morning Joe," ''I'm not making any final decision yet but at this point I just can't do it." Kasich says Trump is "going to have to change."

SHANGHAI (AP) — Walt Disney has opened Shanghai Disneyland today, its first theme park in mainland China. There was a lavish celebration featuring Communist Party leaders, a children's choir, Sleeping Beauty and other Disney characters. A vice premier joined Disney CEO Bob Iger (EYE'-gur) in cutting the grand opening's red ribbon.
