SALT LAKE CITY -- Hospitals can't afford to wait until the emergency happens to prepare for it.

Dr. Mark Hiatt, executive medical director of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, says instead, they are constantly performing drills to prepare for all kinds of crises, from mass shootings like the attack in Orlando to the more mundane like a flu outbreak.
