SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Highway Patrol says a man has died and two others were injured in a vehicle collision in Utah County.
Trooper Cameron Roden says the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on SR-68 near Goshen.
KSL-TV of Salt Lake City reports (http://bit.ly/233d5ry) that two cars were heading southbound when one made contact with the other while trying to pass it.
The impact sent both vehicles rolling.
Roden says nobody was using a seatbelt.
One driver, 30-year-old Delfino Morales, died at the scene. His passenger, Ernesto Ramos, was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. Both are from Payson.
The other driver, 61-year-old Luis Barralaga, also of Payson, was airlifted with injuries as well.
Roden says it is not clear which vehicle was trying to pass the other.
