ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando Police are reporting "multiple injuries" in a nightclub shooting. The department warns on its official Twitter page that people should stay away from the area of the Pulse Orlando nightclub. Pulse Orlando earlier posted on its own Facebook page: "Everyone get out of pulse and keep running." Police say a loud noise nearby was a "controlled explosion." The incident follows the fatal shooting on Friday of 22-year-old singer Christina Grimmie after a concert in Orlando.

PARIS (AP) — Police say 35 people have been injured in clashes that erupted between England and Russia soccer fans before and after a match at the European Championship that ended in a 1-1 draw. One French leader speaking to Europe 1 radio blames the violence on "drunken cretins." Europe's soccer governing body is convening a disciplinary proceeding with sanctions possible.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a suspect is in custody after five pedestrians, including three children, were seriously injured by a car fleeing an earlier accident. Officials say two of the children are in critical condition.

NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they arrested a suspect about an hour after a fatal stabbing inside an upstate New York supermarket. New Windsor Town Police Sgt. Stephen Sager said in a release that 35-year-old Andrew Goodenough was arrested inside a ShopRite supermarket Saturday morning. He's facing a second-degree murder charge.

PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) — Stanford University graduating students and women's rights advocates plan to demonstrate today in solidarity with a sexual assault victim and in protest of a light sentence given to the former Stanford swimmer who committed the crime. Students will demonstrate during "Wacky Walk," a rambunctious, slow-moving stroll by graduating students dressed in zany costumes that precedes the official graduation events today. Brock Turner got a six-month sentence and will be out in three.
