KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (AP) — Former first lady Barbara Bush is celebrating her 91st birthday with her family in Maine.
She and former President George H.W. Bush are being joined by family members including their son, former President George W. Bush, to help her celebrate on Wednesday.
The Bushes have a summer home in Kennebunkport, on the Maine coast.
A family spokeswoman says it will be a quiet family event.
That's in contrast to a year ago when Mrs. Bush's gala 90th birthday celebration featured special guests Amy Grant, Reba McEntire and Michael W. Smith.
Her husband, the nation's 41st president, also is celebrating a birthday this week. George H.W. Bush turns 92 on Sunday.
