MOSCOW (AP) — Russian social media users are finding amusement in a video of an aspiring legislator who appears to be as unsuccessful in fist fighting as in political fighting.

The video posted on YouTube Tuesday shows several motorcyclists speeding down a dirt road, apparently recorded by one rider's helmet-mounted camera. After they turn onto a larger road, a sedan honks at them, stops, and then the driver jumps out and throws a punch at the camera-wearer.

The motorcyclist responds with punches that knock the man to the ground repeatedly.

United Russia, the country's dominant party, confirmed the man was running on their slate in recent primary elections for the Moscow regional assembly. However, it said he wasn't among the winners, according to the newspaper Kosomolskaya Pravda.
