The US singles chart is all about the girls of summer this week as NELLY FURTADO reigns supreme for a sixth week, while new hits by BEYONCE KNOWLES and BLACK EYED PEAS star FERGIE race up the charts.
Furtado's PROMISCUOUS has kept GNARLS BARKLEY's CRAZY off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for yet another week, while CASSIE's ME & U remains in third spot.
But it's two big climbers that have set the new top 10 on fire - Beyonce's DEJA VU rockets from number 32 to number four, while Fergie's solo debut, LONDON BRIDGE, shoots up 81 places to claim the new number five spot. The jump is the second biggest in Hot 100 history - behind HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL hit BREAKING FREE which stunned chart watchers earlier this year (06) by making an 82-place jump.
JESSICA SIMPSON also scores a big jump on the new chart, bouncing up to number 14 from 30.
BREAKING BENJAMIN'S THE DIARY OF JANE is the chart's highest new entry at 55. (KL/BB/SH)
