RIVERDALE, Utah (AP) — Police say a 56-year-old man was found dead in a creek behind a shopping center in Riverdale.
The Standard-Examiner in Ogden reports (http://bit.ly/1UjL7RS) that the body was discovered submerged in a portion of Burch Creek on Thursday morning.
Riverdale Police Lt. Casey Warren says authorities believe the man was a transient who frequented the area, though his name was not immediately released.
Warren says police have no reason to believe foul play was involved in the death but they will conduct an autopsy to determine how he died.
Riverdale is located about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City.
