LOS ANGELES (AP) — A law enforcement official says a professor of mechanical engineering at UCLA was gunned down in an office on campus. The shooter, who took his own life, has not yet been identified. Colleagues of Professor William Klug say he was a married father of two and a kind, gentle person.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A fired Florida police officer was arrested and charged with manslaughter and attempted murder in the fatal shooting of a legally armed black musician. Prosecutors say an audio recording and physical evidence show the musician had thrown his weapon to the ground and was running away when the lethal round was fired.

DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) — Donald Trump is losing business to Mexico — a prestigious golf tournament at his resort at Doral in Florida. The PGA Tour announced that a World Golf Championship is relocating to Mexico City next year. Trump, on Fox, calls it a "sad day for Miami, the United States and the game of golf."

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council has strongly condemned three recent failed North Korean missile launches. The council calls them "a grave violation" of a ban on all ballistic missile activity that contributed to the country's nuclear weapons program. The council reiterated its demand that North Korea end its "flagrant" violations.

NEW YORK (AP) — An "inverted Jenny" stamp stolen in 1955 is finally being returned to its rightful owner. The 1918 stamp, which features an airplane printed upside-down, will officially be handed over to the American Philatelic Research Library during the World Stamp Show in Manhattan on Thursday. It surfaced at a New York auction house in April.
