PLEASANT GROVE, Utah (AP) — The Latest on a trailer hanging above a Utah freeway in rush hour (all times local):

5:10 p.m.

Utah authorities have removed a truck trailer that was dangling by one wheel above a freeway in the city of Pleasant Grove, about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce says crews were able to pull the trailer up to safety around Tuesday evening and reopen Interstate 15 below to rush-hour traffic.

Royce says the trailer became dislodged from a dump truck late afternoon, crashed into a barrier on an overpass and was hanging by one wheel off a low wall above the freeway.

He says if the wheel hadn't caught on the wall, the trailer would have a slid down an embankment and dropped onto the road.

No injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.

Utah authorities are working to remove a truck trailer dangling by one wheel off a bridge crossing above a freeway in the city of Pleasant Grove, about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce says the trailer appears to have dislodged from a dump truck, crashed into a barrier on an overpass and is hanging above Interstate 15.

Royce says no one was injured and the freeway below and surrounding streets have been closed to traffic.

He says the trailer appears to be stable, having balanced on the edge of the overpass for about an hour, but crews are working to lift it out.

Royce says no other vehicles were involved. He did not have details about why the trailer dislodged or which company owned it.
