RENO, Nev. (AP) — Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of suspect wanted in connection with an attempted bank robbery inside a Wal-Mart in south Reno.

Police say the white man in his 50s or early 60s entered the Wal-Mart on Kietzke Lane at about 3:30 p.m. on Friday and demanded cash. The teller refused and the man fled the store on foot.

Police say the man was between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-8 with a heavy build. He had gray hair and was wearing blue jeans, a white baseball cap and a blue UNR sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Reno Police at 775-334-2115, the FBI at 1-800-225-5324 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
