LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a man killed in an apparent road-rage shooting last week in North Las Vegas was a 35-year-old father whose girlfriend was driving with their preschool-age child in the back seat.
The Clark County coroner said Monday that Joseph Deion Jackson was killed by a gunshot to the head.
North Las Vegas police Officer Ann Cavaricci says detectives are looking for a dark-colored sedan from which several shots were fired into Jackson's car about 3:30 a.m. Friday near Craig Road and 5th Street.
The girlfriend and child weren't injured.
Cavaricci says it appears to be road rage, and police think the assailant was in a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
A woman identified as Jackson's cousin, Evelyn Jones, tells KSNV-TV (http://bit.ly/1OJuvkO ) that Jackson was on his way to work at the time.
