McHENRY, Md. (AP) — The president of Garrett College is leaving the McHenry campus to assume his new role as president of North Idaho College.
The Cumberland Times-News (http://bit.ly/1qF6xkG ) reports that Richard MacLennan, who has served as Garrett College's president since 2010, was selected by a 22-member search committee to become North Idaho College's new president.
MacLennan was one of six finalists vying for the position. He says he is honored to have been selected.
Prior to joining Garrett College, MacLennan was the vice president of student services for 12 years at Olympic College in Washington.
The North Idaho College Board of Trustees is expected to officially approve MacLennan's contract Wednesday. He is expected to start his new role July 1.
