CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — A retired Chattanooga attorney and his son are dead in what authorities are calling a domestic incident.
Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies tell local media that 82-year-old Glenn Copeland was shot by his son Steven Copeland on Sunday at his Chattanooga home. Glenn Copeland was taken to Erlanger Hospital where he died.
Shortly after the shooting authorities found Steven Copeland dead of a gunshot wound at a house nearby. He was due in court this week on driving and DUI charges following an arrest earlier this year.
Authorities say there are no more suspects and that the public isn't in danger.
