COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho man will spend at least 15 years in prison in the death of a Spokane woman whose body was dumped near Hauser Lake.
The Coeur d'Alene Press reports (http://bit.ly/22jxwjK) 47-year-old Patrick Neil McGhee was sentenced in an Idaho court to serve a minimum of 15 years. He could serve another 10 years beyond that.
McGhee entered a plea in February that did not admit guilt but acknowledged there was enough evidence to convict him on charges of voluntary manslaughter and destruction of evidence.
Authorities found the partially submerged body of 55-year-old Kelly Sallee in June 2015.
Her son Jason Stidd said in court that he thinks about his mother every day. He said after sentencing that he was happy with the outcome.
McGhee declined to comment in court.
